Unicycles on Parade

[Alecis]

After the meeting with Gage, Rowan's 'son', Alecis had decided she would go find Rowan. She wanted to tell him who she met.

Because Alecis hated Rowan so much, she knew all of his favorite places to be. In fact, if you asked her at any point during the day where she thought Rowan probably was, over seventy percent of the time she'd probably be right.

Right now, she figured he was probably in the mountains, sitting on the boulder that over looked Amelia. She and Rowan both liked that spot a lot. Rowan liked to sit there and paint, and Alecis liked to go there to taunt him.

Anywho, she flew up, making sure to fly around a cliff so that he wouldn't see her till she flew up behind him. There he was, sitting, and ah, painting, just like she had expected. I told you she was good.

She landed softly behind him, careful not to move the wind around too much to disturb him. He was probably too engrossed in his painting anyway, but whatever.

"Guess who I met today?" she asked suddenly, hoping to startle him.

[Rowan]

You know, Rowan might have been startled, if Alecis didn't stalk him here all the time. He was so used to it that he didn't even blink. The only reason he even still came here was because it was one of the only places he knew of where the lighting was absolutely perfect this time of day.

"I don't know Alecis, who did you meet?" he asked unenthusiastically, hoping that maybe this could be a civil conversation that wouldn't end in her demanding to go to a Battlething.

[Alecis]

"Oh, you're so boring," Alecis complained when he didn't respond to her obnoxious entrance. She rolled her eyes before continuing. "Well, Daddy, I met your son, Gage," she said, watching his reaction.

[Rowan]

Rowan frowned. He was used to Alecis saying stupid things, but at least they usually made sense. "What are you talking about?" he asked, turned around to face her.

[Alecis]

"Don't play stupid," Alecis snapped. If he was going to pretend to be as stupid as the Gage kid was, she might just have to push him off the mountain.

"You know, I never thought you'd be good at playing jokes. Turns out I was right. You should know, if you're going to play a prank on someone, it needs to actually be believable."

[Rowan]

"I don't play jokes," Rowan replied cluelessly. (Honestly Alecis, think of who you're talking to.) "At all. Ever. I have no idea what you're talking about."

[Alecis]

"Don't you think I know that?" she snapped again. "That's why this is so confusing! But you must have tried... I mean, why else would that guy have been impersonating your son? Huh?!"

She still wanted to push him off the cliff.

[Rowan]

Rowan blinked, and looked at her with an annoyed/clueless expression. "I don't have a son, Alecis," he informed her. He kind of wanted to push her off the cliff too. Too bad she could fly.

[Alecis]

"Try telling him that," she said in frustration, sitting on a rock close to the one Rowan was on. "He looked just like you, 'cept for the brown hair... " she said, not really to him, but more to herself. This whole thing was crazy.

"Where did you find him?" she finally asked.

[Rowan]

Rowan let out a frustrated sigh. "I. Don't. Know. What. You're. Talking. About," he said, thinking if maybe he said it slowly, she would get it. He paused. "This is just another one of your attempts to irritate me, isn't it?"

[Alecis]

"If I was trying to irritate you, I'd have thought this through a little more," she snapped. "What was your father's name?" she asked in an angry voice.

[Rowan]

Rowan frowned. Why would she need to know? But if answering her would make her go away... "Ronald," he answered. "And he is my father, not was." Even if he had disowned him. =[

[Alecis]

Alecis frowned too, but not for the same reason. That didn't match up... "Who the heck is Gage then? Do you have brothers?"

[Rowan]

"No, I'm an only child," Rowan replied. "Why the family history, Alecis? Maybe there's a different Rowan out there with a son named Gage." It's not like he had the most unusual name in Amelia.

[Alecis]

"He looked just like you!" Alecis protested. There was no way there could be that many coincidences with one clio.

[Rowan]

"I don't know what to tell you Alecis!" Rowan insisted. "I've never met or heard of this Gage kid. I don't have any relatives that age." I don't know if Leci actually told him how old Gage was...but whatever. xD Let's pretend she did.

[Alecis]

Alecis gritted her teeth, got up like she was going to leave, and shoved Rowan off the cliff.

That's right, she shoved him off. If he tried to hold on, she used the air to force him off. Of course, after he slipped off the edge she used the air to stop him and set him back on the boulder, but that was after she had flown off.

Stupid Rowan and his stupid prank. She would get to the bottom of this.
